Project | 01
Design and Development of Warehouse Robot

The basic aim of this project was to provide concept of automation of warehouses for transporting load up to 80 kg from one load station to another with warehouse robot controlled by Web Server or mobile application. Robot uses priority task scheduling algorithm for completing tasks.   Mapping and real time localization of robot is done by using RFID technology. High Torque DC motors are used for movement of robot and lead screw mechanism for lifting load. In addition, Intelligent system is designed and robot can detect its battery level and move to charging station for self charging. This project involves concepts of Control Systems, Electric Circuit Design, Software Development, Power Electronics and Embedded Systems.

Maze Mapping and Maze Solving Robots

A pair or intelligent robots are designed and developed for maze mapping and solving. One robot is used to map the maze using right hand algorithm. Wall detection is done by using ultrasonic sensors. The robot is able to learn the maze using Markov principle and communicate the mapped data to other robot. The ultimate goal of second robot is to reach the edges of maze through shortest paths using flood-fill algorithm. For movement of robots in a straight line, proportional integral controller and pulse width modulation is used.

Accelerometer based Gesture Controlled Robot

Robot is controlled through gestures using accelerometer. Movement of hand gestures is tracked using accelerometer and robot acts accordingly. Wireless communication is established between transmitting and receiving end using SPI protocol.
